Atv the moment, the weekends have been all about the MTB for us at Ride Bikes.

Have a read and see what we've been getting up to and what we've got planned for this weekend!

On Sunday 5th March Ryan Lewis represented Ride Bikes Wales in Welsh Gravity Enduro Round 2 at Bike Park Wales, coming 12th in his category. BPW trails offered a  familiar course for many competitors, which meant there was stiff competition Well done Ryan!

Last Sunday, RBW's Tom, Stuart and Ryan headed down to Wentwood forest for the annual Wentwood50 Goshawk Challenge.

This is a 50km Cross-Country training event which takes place amongst the largest ancient woodland in Wales, with hugely varied terrain. With over 1500m of climbing it is known for being a bit brutal! The good news is there's a 25k alternative route if you really do burn out and great pizza at the end!

The weather on the day was glorious though the terrain was still rather muddy with the recent rainfall.

The boys all enjoyed and shout out to Tom who came in the top 30 riders in a pack of 300- well done Tom!

This weekend we look forward to 'Battle on the Beach' at Pembray.

The 2016 course will be a total of 3 laps (or 2 laps for fun categories), total distance being around 45km.

The surface is variable, with each lap consisting of around 5km on the beach (a bit of soft sand but mostly hard sand) 5km singletrack and 5km doubletrack or forest roads.

It's a fun and popular event and really inclusive too, with people taking part on Cyclo-cross bikes, Mountain bikes and Fat bikes. All entries are sold out but it would be a great one to go along and spectate too, especially if this recent spurt of sunshine keeps up! Good luck if you're doing it and hopefully see you there!
