WORKSHOP & SERVICING

A cycle should give many years of trouble free pleasure assuming a small amount of routine maintenance is carried out. This should reduce the risk of large repair bills when the cycle comes in for its regular service.

  • Keeping your cycle clean and the chain and sprockets lubed will not only increase the life of your chain but your sprockets will also last longer.
  • Check the cycle over regularly to ensure all the nuts and bolts are tight.
  • Check the crank bolts every ride.
  • Wash the bike using a normal hosepipe and the correct brushes and cleaning products, do not use a pressure washer as this will get into the bearings and wash out the grease.
  • Lubricate your gear/brake cables regularly with a specialist lubricant to ensure smooth action of your gears and brakes.
  • If you are unsure at all about what to do, please give us a call and we will be glad to advise you.
  • Please ensure your bike is clean before you bring it in, there may be an extra charge for cleaning before work can begin.
Servicing Menu;
Our workshop will exceed the individual requirements of each repair. As every repair is different, we will help decide what is best for yourself and the best value options. For people looking for that something special, we can source and fit specialist parts. We offer a fixed menu servicing for general service tasks. For the more keen riders, who ride more than 30 miles a week I would recommend the Deluxe Service twice a year, to keep on top of maintenance.
Standard Service.
We recommend this service to be carried out twice a year. A good servicing routine for your bike, particularly if you use your bike regularly would be to have a standard service every 6 to 9 months.
